My First Ever Lush Haul

I imagine you reading that title with a puzzled look on your face. It’s true, I can’t use anything too harsh in the bath as I have quite sensitive skin. But, after reading somewhere about the advantages to one particular shampoo I was intrigued. So off I stroll to Lush and these are my buys, yes I said buys. I got totally sucked in by the Lush smell (pun intended). Also picked up a copy of the Lush Times which I caught my boyfriend reading! lol

BIG Shampoo

This is incredible! I use this Shampoo once a week and usually at the weekend when I have more time to dry my hair properly. The first time I used it I think I used too much lol I was nearly lost in bubbles! My hair was super shiny and felt so soft and clean to touch. The second time, I used a little less product and put my hair in big velcro rollers for added volume, it looked amazing, if I do say so myself.

“Sea salt shampoo for shine, softness and big endowments. This pot of oceanic goodness is 50% sea salt to give limp hair the volume it deserves, with seaweed infusion to soften hair and citrus juices for shine. After using Big, your hair will be bouncing back to life.”

Bubblegum Lip Scrub

As I was paying for BIG I noticed this cute little pink pot of ‘stuff’, so picked it up and gave it a whiff and OMG! - heaven. The Lush assistant said to try it on my lips then lick it off, well that had me hooked, a lip scrub that you can eat. YUM! It’s a lovely girly pink colour and is now a firm fixture in my handbag.

“Our fabulous lip scrubs are here to keep your kissers sweet. This one will make your lips smell like our best-selling Snow Fairy shower gel. Bubblegum is made with exfoliating castor sugar and our delicious vegan flavour to gently scrub away rough skin, keeping your lips smooth and kissably soft. Simply rub it over your lips when they're feeling the need for some sugar”
Sugar Scrub

Now this product was a bit of an impulse buy, as I walked in Lush my eyes caught the word ‘cellulite’ so after speaking to the assistant I also purchased one of these. I have to say it is one of my favourite products along with BIG. I have quite rough skin on my thighs and back of my upper arms and this sugar scrub works a treat. It left my skin feeling ever so smooth and I could have got away without moisturising but did moisturise because leaving a bit out would have been just weird really. ;o)

“Our Sugar Scrub is hard, but a bit of a sweetie. Its no nonsense stance stimulates activity and tackles cellulite with fennel and ginger. Skin calming lavender has a balancing effect. Get yourself wet in the shower or bath, but don't let the bar get under the running water or it'll be lost before it can prove itself. Scrub, scrub, scrub and rinse away. It doesn't waste any time getting down to business”

I have nearly used all the Sugar scrub and I’m pretty sure my other half has had a sneaky go at it too, I don’t mind though, if it means I get to visit Lush again. I am definitely converted!

Long Live Lush!!
Is BIG one of your lush products?

Nails Inc - Haymarket

Nails Inc are probably my all time fav nail polish, this colour included, I was a little bit apprehensive about wearing this colour at first but I soon got used to it and the compliments were flowing! All the girls in the office loved it.

Back in March me and a few girls went to The Vitality Show at Earls Court - Olympia, I was in beauty heaven! My fella gave me some spending money for the day which I spent and then some!! My bank balance got a bit of shock, I was a good girl though and told my other half that I had spent a little more. That is where I picked up this beauty. Nails Inc had a deal on buy 3 for £15 so I bought 2 Jermyn Street (my fav colour ever! Post to follow) and 1 Haymarket.

Haymarket is quite a sheer colour and at first application I thought I had wasted my money but after another coat the colour really came out, it doesn’t have a shiny finish so a top coat is a must. I use a top coat by Sally Hansen it’s called Miracle Growth, not that it works for me mind. Maybe long nails just aren’t meant for me, it’s an ongoing battle.

What do you think of this colour? I’d love to hear what your tips and tricks are for growing your nails

Chanel - V is for Vendetta!!!

I know, I know - it's all about pastels at the minute but sometimes the ol' favourites come out to play. This shade from Chanel is dark and durgy and I love it! I envy you girls out there that can grow your nails to incredible lengths, believe me I have tried. I spent a small fortune on gels and acrylics in the past but I have had to face facts and live with short nails.
*sob sob*

I have taken a couple of pics with flash on and flash off see below

For me this shade will be around for a while yet. ;o)
What do you think? Is Vendetta one of your favs?

Hello and Welcome

Hello Everyone and Welcome to my Blog! My name is Stacey I am 30 years old and have a passion for anything and everything beauty! I have been inspired by all the guru’s on You Tube and other bloggers to start my own, so here it is. My blog will mainly be reviews about things I have bought with swatches etc and maybe a little picture tutorial as my confidence grows. I am working in the Construction Industry at the minute as a Document Controller, spend most of my days dreaming about make-up, how one day I would like to be an MUA, but for now I will have to stick at being a DC (sounds kinda cool like that huh) because it pays the bills and me and my Fianće (gush) won’t get our house if I suddenly changed my career. So for now I have joined the Blogger community and look forward to all things pretty to come. I look forward to getting in touch with other beauty obsessed beauties!
